Born in California, Scout Turkel is a poet and writer. Scout holds a degree in rhetoric from the University of California-Berkeley, an MFA in poetry from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, and is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Chicago. With Samira Abed and Hannah Piette, Scout edits the journal Common Place: A Seasonal Publication of Poetry &#38;amp; Poetics.
Scout’s first book, Solitude and Society, is forthcoming from Nightboat Books.
